Provides one on one coaching to clients around their behaviour changes to improve health status, reduce health risks and improve quality of life, including activities such as establishing health improvement plans, setting personalized goals, and supporting clients in achieving those goals.


 

Approach

My approach when providing nutritional guidance to a client is based primarily on the concept of sustainability. I want to make suggestions and help them make lifestyle changes in the way that their relationship with food changes. And I want to make sure that they are able to maintain those changes long after their work with me is done. This is because I believe that the cycle of weight loss with an unreasonable diet followed by the inevitable weight gain is so detrimental to their mental health, confidence, motivation, and drive. And people can handle only so many of these failing cycles and their bodies get weak from going through these drastic weight changes in short periods of time.

Methodology

In terms of my dietary suggestions for weight loss, my main approaches include intermittent fasting and low carbohydrate diets which targets insulin level control in the body. Again each person will be different and my suggestions will be tailored to their needs and not everyone will be able to fast. But I will try to work with them to build the tolerance and taste for a healthier more balanced diet. The reason I focus on intermittent fasting is because of the importance of hormones and their affect on fat loss, energy levels, endurance.
